Bring the timeless ballet The Nutcracker to life with the Meri Meri Nutcracker Theater Advent Calendar. Designed as a miniature stage, this set opens up to reveal a fold-out theater with an orchestra pit and three interchangeable scene backdrops.
Each of the 24 days features an envelope containing illustrated characters and props — ballerinas, the Nutcracker, soldiers, and more — many of which are attached to wooden dowels to allow for movement on stage. Two of the dolls (Pierrot) even have hinged limbs so they can “dance.”
On day 24, a beautifully crafted gold-tone charm bracelet arrives, complete with acrylic charms, tassels, and a tiny bell — a special keepsake to treasure beyond the holiday season.
The theatre’s dusky-pink velvet “curtains” (printed on cardboard) give the set a theatrical flourish, and simple self-assembly is required before you can begin your daily reveals.
This advent calendar supports sequencing (open one envelope per day), imaginative play (design your ballet), and fine-motor skills (manipulating small figures and props). When not in use, the theatre closes neatly, becoming a charming play set or decoration.
