Fat Brain Toys was founded in 2002 by husband-and-wife team Mark and Karen Carson in Elkhorn, Nebraska. The idea grew out of a search for more toys to complement a magnetic construction set their son Adam received for his tenth birthday. Finding the selection online limited, the family saw an opportunity to help parents discover a wider variety of interesting, thoughtfully designed toys.
