Why we LOVE this product!

Food is one of the easiest ways to make geography real for kids. The Global Eats Club turns each month into a trip, with recipes, a map and activities that help kids understand where a dish comes from and why people eat it.

It's a great way to stretch picky eaters too, since kids are far more willing to try something they cooked themselves.

Two things to weigh: ingredients aren't included, and some recipes may need a trip to a specialty store. For adventurous families, it's a delicious way to learn about the world.

Description

SKU:

G0111M1

The Raddish Kids Global Eats Club is a monthly cooking kit subscription for ages 6 to 14 and up, where each box explores one country's food and culture through three illustrated recipes and hands-on activities.

What's inside each kit

  • 3 laminated, illustrated recipe guides from one country
  • A kid-friendly kitchen tool to keep
  • Culinary skill cards and a shopping list card
  • Cultural activities, such as maps and translation games, and a collectible patch

How it works

Each month features a new country. Kids shop for ingredients with the list, cook three dishes and learn about the place the food comes from along the way.

What kids learn

  • Kitchen math: measuring, fractions and following quantities
  • Reading and following directions: step-by-step illustrated recipes
  • Fine motor and safety skills: mixing, cutting and using kitchen tools safely
  • Confidence and independence: making something real the whole family eats
  • Geography and world culture: where dishes come from and how people eat around the world

Good to know before you buy

  • Ingredients are not included: each kit comes with a shopping list card, so you buy fresh groceries yourself. Budget for that on top of the kit price. Some international recipes may call for ingredients that are harder to find.
  • Plans: $28.95 a month, or $25.95 a month on a 6-month plan and $22.95 a month on a 12-month plan, all with free US shipping. Monthly plans can be cancelled any time after the first kit ships; 6- and 12-month plans can't be cancelled mid-term, but you can turn off auto-renewal.
  • Raddish Plus: every membership includes free access to Raddish's online library of recipes.

Who it's for

About

Raddish Kids

Raddish Kids was founded in 2014 by Samantha Barnes, a former middle school social studies teacher who discovered the educational possibilities of cooking while teaching children culinary skills. Through hands-on lessons, she saw how time in the kitchen could bring subjects such as math, science, history, and culture to life. After running cooking classes, camps, and programs for children, Samantha became a parent herself and recognized how cooking together could also help families connect, learn, laugh, and create lasting memories.

Inspired by these experiences, Samantha created Raddish Kids to bring engaging culinary education directly into family kitchens. The company develops monthly cooking and baking kits that combine carefully tested recipes, quality kitchen tools, illustrated instructions, and hands-on activities designed to make learning enjoyable.

Raddish believes that cooking is about much more than preparing food. It helps children develop creativity, confidence, independence, and resilience while encouraging them to explore different cultures and try new flavors. By making culinary skills accessible and fun, Raddish Kids aims to give children valuable experiences they can carry into adulthood, while helping families turn everyday meals into opportunities for discovery and connection.
