Why we LOVE this product!
Tiny Laser Heist is unlike any other game on our shelf. Watching a team try to move a padlock past an elastic laser with tiny plastic hands is hilarious, and it gets everyone off their phones and leaning over the table together.
Beneath the silliness there's real skill-building: kids have to communicate clearly, coordinate their movements and negotiate a fair deal with the rest of the table.
Two things to weigh: it's genuinely tricky, so younger kids may get frustrated, and it needs at least three players to shine. For a lively family or teen game night, it's a standout.

TLH-CORE
Tiny Laser Heist is a 3D party game where players team up, each using one tiny hand on a stick, to move padlocks and steal a jewel from inside a frame strung with elastic "lasers". It mixes dexterity, teamwork and negotiation.
What's inside
- Laser frame and museum game board
- Elastic security lasers
- 28 colorful padlocks, 4 jewels and 1 pedestal
- Tiny hands on sticks
- Skill card deck, money, a money bag and a burglar mask
How it plays
Each round, a Mastermind recruits a heist team based on their skill cards and negotiates how to split the payout. The team has 90 seconds to move the padlocks and grab the jewel without touching a laser. Successful heists add more padlocks and lasers, raising the risk and the reward.
What players learn
- Teamwork and communication: coordinating moves when each person has one tiny hand
- Fine motor control and spatial awareness: steering padlocks through a 3D maze
- Negotiation: recruiting a team and agreeing on a fair split
Good to know before you buy
- Age: the maker doesn't set a strict age but notes it's challenging for children under about 8 to 10, so we list it as 10 and up.
- Players: 3 to 6 recommended; more can play as teammates.
- Expansion: a Double Cross expansion adds more lasers and locks, sold separately.
- Value: $39.99 at the time of writing.
Who it's for
Families with tweens and teens, party game fans, and anyone who liked Operation or escape rooms.

About
Very Special Games
Very Special Games was founded in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2019 by Evan Katz and Josh Roberts, two creative collaborators who shared a love of games and a desire to make something different. Their journey began during lunch breaks at a consulting firm, where they experimented with their first game prototype using sticky notes. A few months later, they launched their first game, Charty Party, on Kickstarter, setting the foundation for their independent game company.
Evan and Josh set out to create games that are quick to learn but offer plenty of opportunities for creativity, clever thinking, and repeat play. Their approach combines distinctive concepts, quality components, and humor that brings people together, whether they're seasoned board game fans or simply looking for something entertaining to play with friends.
The company's growing collection includes inventive word games such as Ransom Notes, pun-making challenges like Puns of Anarchy, and unusual strategy games such as Abducktion. Each reflects the founders' interest in making tabletop games that feel fresh, accessible, and memorable.
As a small creative team, Very Special Games also emphasizes thoughtful customer service and building trust with its players. Its mission is simple: create clever, high-quality games that make it easy for people to laugh, think creatively, and enjoy spending time together.
