Why we LOVE this product!
This turns a jigsaw puzzle into a family advent ritual. A handful of pieces a day is a manageable ten or fifteen minutes, and the picture keeps getting richer as the ornaments fill in.
Wooden pieces in unusual shapes make it more satisfying to handle than cardboard, and the finished tree is genuinely display-worthy.
Two things to weigh: it's expensive, and it needs a table that can stay covered for the whole of December. Lubiwood also doesn't publish an age, so treat it as a teen-and-adult puzzle that younger kids can join.

SKU:
LW-ADVENT-TREE
The Lubiwood Advent Calendar Puzzle is a wooden jigsaw puzzle split into 24 daily boxes. Each door holds about 40 illustrated wooden pieces, and by Christmas the family has built a 950-piece Christmas tree decorated with round ornament scenes.
What's inside
- 24 numbered boxes in a fold-open advent calendar
- 950 wooden puzzle pieces in many different shapes, not classic jigsaw pieces
- Pieces that together make a tree-shaped puzzle about 30.6 x 22.6 inches
How it works
Open one door a day, add that day's pieces, and watch the tree and its ornaments come together through December. Afterwards it can be displayed, or taken apart and done again next year.
What kids learn
- Spatial reasoning: matching unusual piece shapes and fitting sections together
- Patience and focus: a little progress every day over 24 days
- Working together: a natural shared family project
Good to know before you buy
- Age: Lubiwood doesn't publish an age. With 950 small, irregular wooden pieces, we suggest 12 and up, or younger kids helping an adult.
- Harder than it looks: Lubiwood says the 950 shaped pieces feel like a 1,500-piece classic puzzle, and estimates 12 to 16 hours in total.
- Space: you'll need a table or puzzle board about 31 x 23 inches that can stay set up all month.
- Price: $173.99 at Lubiwood at the time of writing, on sale from $255.99.
- When to order: by mid-November. On October 31, Lubiwood quoted standard delivery of about 10 days.
Who it's for
Puzzle-loving families and older kids who want a calm, shared December ritual and a keepsake to bring out every year.

About
Lubiwood
Lubiwood began in 2020 with a simple idea: to make traditional jigsaw puzzles more exciting through original artwork, natural materials, and unexpected shapes. Founded by a small team with a passion for creative design, the company set out to create puzzles that feel special not only when completed, but throughout the process of putting them together.
Each Lubiwood puzzle starts with sketches that are developed into colorful designs inspired by subjects such as wildlife, nature, and decorative patterns. The team then creates distinctive piece shapes by hand before using precise laser cutting to bring each wooden puzzle to life. Rather than relying solely on traditional interlocking pieces, Lubiwood incorporates playful, irregular shapes that make the experience more surprising and engaging.
Made from wood and presented in attractive packaging, these puzzles are designed to be enjoyed slowly, one piece at a time. They offer an opportunity to unplug, focus, exercise problem-solving skills, and enjoy the satisfaction of watching a beautiful image emerge. Whether enjoyed alone as a relaxing pastime or shared with family and friends, Lubiwood puzzles make thoughtful gifts for people who appreciate creativity, craftsmanship, and a fresh twist on a classic activity.
