Why we LOVE this product!
Drizzle has a great backstory: the designer came up with it at age 8, and it shows in the best way. The theme is irresistible for kids, the turns are quick, and the shared cones add just enough strategy to keep grown-ups interested.
We like that it quietly practices counting and simple decision-making, and that Easy Mode lets younger siblings play too.
Two things to weigh: it's a light game, so strategy fans may want something meatier, and it's a newer title with fewer reviews. At under $20 it's an easy, cheerful addition to the game shelf.

DRIZZLE-CORE
Drizzle is a family dice game where 2 to 5 players roll dice and stack toppings to build ice cream cones, deciding whether to add to their own cones or finish someone else's for points. Games take 15 to 20 minutes, and it was invented by an 8-year-old.
What's inside
- 8 colorful dice
- Ice cream cone and topping pieces (sprinkles, fudge and drizzle)
- Scoring components and rules, including an Easy Mode
How it plays
Roll the dice to see which cones and toppings you can play, stack toppings, and earn points and bonuses for completing cones. Everyone shares the same cones, so you can build your own or swoop in to finish one someone else started. When seven cones are complete, the highest score wins.
What kids learn
- Counting and matching: reading dice and adding up points
- Strategic thinking: when to build and when to steal a cone
- Taking turns and good sportsmanship: shared cones mean lots of friendly rivalry

About
Very Special Games
Very Special Games was founded in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2019 by Evan Katz and Josh Roberts, two creative collaborators who shared a love of games and a desire to make something different. Their journey began during lunch breaks at a consulting firm, where they experimented with their first game prototype using sticky notes. A few months later, they launched their first game, Charty Party, on Kickstarter, setting the foundation for their independent game company.
Evan and Josh set out to create games that are quick to learn but offer plenty of opportunities for creativity, clever thinking, and repeat play. Their approach combines distinctive concepts, quality components, and humor that brings people together, whether they're seasoned board game fans or simply looking for something entertaining to play with friends.
The company's growing collection includes inventive word games such as Ransom Notes, pun-making challenges like Puns of Anarchy, and unusual strategy games such as Abducktion. Each reflects the founders' interest in making tabletop games that feel fresh, accessible, and memorable.
As a small creative team, Very Special Games also emphasizes thoughtful customer service and building trust with its players. Its mission is simple: create clever, high-quality games that make it easy for people to laugh, think creatively, and enjoy spending time together.
