Why we LOVE this product!
Hey Clay solves the biggest problem with clay kits: kids often don't know how to turn a lump into something recognizable. The app's 3D, step-by-step guides break each dog into simple shapes, so even beginners end up with sculptures they're proud of.
The clay itself is soft, light and allergy-friendly, and it air-dries so the dogs can go on a shelf.
Two things to weigh: you'll need a phone or tablet for instructions, and once the clay dries it can't be reused. For a budget-friendly art gift, it's a lovely choice.

About
Fat Brain Toys
Fat Brain Toys was founded in 2002 by husband-and-wife team Mark and Karen Carson in Elkhorn, Nebraska. The idea grew out of a search for more toys to complement a magnetic construction set their son Adam received for his tenth birthday. Finding the selection online limited, the family saw an opportunity to help parents discover a wider variety of interesting, thoughtfully designed toys.
What began as a small home-based business grew into an established toy company with its own range of products, alongside toys selected from other innovative makers. Fat Brain Toys developed a reputation for offering alternatives to conventional mass-market toys, with an emphasis on products that encourage children to explore, experiment, build, and solve problems.
The company's philosophy centers on the idea that play can be both enjoyable and enriching. Its collection spans everything from early-learning toys and sensory playthings to construction sets, puzzles, and challenging games. Family involvement has remained part of its story, with the next generation contributing to product design and innovation.
Fat Brain Toys aims to make discovering great toys easier for families while encouraging children to develop curiosity, creativity, and confidence through play.
