Why we LOVE this product!
This is the showpiece of the LEGO Pokémon range: a big, dynamic Pikachu that really looks like it's bursting out of the Poké Ball. The two display poses and the heart or flat tail option show how much the designers know their Pokémon.
At 2,050 pieces it's a proper project, the kind a family can build together over several evenings.
Two things to weigh: it's expensive and rated 18 and up, and the finished model takes up a lot of space.
Description
SKU:
72152
LEGO Pokémon Pikachu and Poké Ball (72152) is a 2,050-piece display model of Pikachu leaping out of an open Poké Ball, mounted on a lightning-bolt stand and base, about 13.5 inches tall.
What's inside
- 2,050 LEGO pieces to build Pikachu, a Poké Ball replica and a display stand
- Printed building instructions (also in the LEGO Builder app)
How it works
Build Pikachu, the Poké Ball and the lightning-bolt stand. Display Pikachu in a battle stance leaping from the open Poké Ball, or in a resting pose with the ball closed. Ears and limbs are posable, and the tail can be built with a heart-shaped tip or a flat end to show a female or male Pikachu.
What kids learn
- Following a long build: 2,050 pieces in clear stages
- Spatial reasoning: how angled bricks create curves and motion
- Patience and persistence: a multi-session project
Good to know before you buy

- Fan detail: the studs on the base form a 25, Pikachu's Pokédex number.
- Price: $199.99 at LEGO at the time of writing, with a limit of 5 per household.
Who it's for
Serious Pokémon and LEGO fans, teens with plenty of building experience, and families who want a big project to build together over a holiday break.

About
Lego
The LEGO Group began in 1932 in Billund, Denmark, when carpenter Ole Kirk Kristiansen started making wooden toys. The name LEGO comes from the Danish words *leg godt*, meaning “play well,” a fitting reflection of the company's enduring belief in the value of play. The modern LEGO brick, introduced in its familiar interlocking form in 1958, became the foundation of a building system that allows pieces to connect in countless ways.
Today, LEGO inspires builders around the world with products that combine creativity, imagination, and learning. Its sets range from simple builds for younger children to intricate models and challenging projects for experienced builders and adult fans. Whether recreating a favorite fictional world, designing a vehicle, constructing a landmark, or inventing an original creation, builders can explore ideas and develop skills through hands-on play.
Still family-owned, the LEGO Group continues to pursue its mission to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow, creating experiences that encourage curiosity, creative thinking, and discovery across generations.
